About ‘Us’

Our Creed

Christ and Him Crucified

1 Corinthians 2:1  And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God.
For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling.
And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom,
but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,
that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men
but in the power of God.  [NIV]

Our Statement of Faith

The Bible (in any accurate / reliable translation such as KJV, NKJV, ESV, NASB, NET, NIV, and similar, with attention given to both the “Received” Gr mss and the “Critical” Gr mss).

Nehemiah 8:1 “The people gathered together as one man…
in front of the water gate
and they told…the scribe to bring The Book…”  [NIV]

(The context of Nehemiah 8 is upon the restoration in the Land from the years of foreign captivity, the people of God seek to return to The Book, and search for the true, living water;
see also the living water in Psalm 1, John 4:10-14, John 7:37-38, John 19:34).

Our “Pastor”

Christ, The Great Shepherd (Pastor) of The Sheep

Hebrews 13: 20 Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead,
that great Shepherd [literally “Pastor”] of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
21 make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight,
through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.  [NIV]

See also:  Psalm 1 (The Lord is my Shepherd), John 10 (I am the Good Shepherd…My sheep hear My Voice… ).

Our Denomination Affiliation

1 Peter 3: Finally, all of you be of one mind,
having compassion for one another;
love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous;
not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling,

knowing that you were called to this,
that you may inherit a blessing.  [NIV]
